Our response to color is intensely emotional, and flowers can be a catalyst for feelings that stimulate more than just our senses of sight and smell - Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the PANTONE Color Institute. My concept for these data portraits involves the relationship between flowers and their symbolism and how it impacts human emotions. There is a language of flowers, where a specific species, combined with a specific color, translates to a specific meaning. A survey of 8 questions focused on emotional dispositions and personality traits was created and distributed to friends and family. The following are visual renderings of each individual's response - data portraits.
