For the shape of water I decided to mold the type into the typical water 'droplet' shape. At first I tried to morph the letters a set font, but soon realized that it would be more efficient to draw the letters into the shape I wanted using the pen tool.
I chose a few movie titles from the brainstorm to mock up. The same treatment was used with the words toy, express, and water, in that the letters were drawn with pen tool to fit the shape of an object (a book, a pole, and a droplet.)
We sifted through all of the mockups and chose the most effective ones to move forward into the book. We took into account color contrast in deciding the order of pages, along with other variables. The final 'Riddle Me This' online book is linked under my bio!
I brainstormed about possibilities of what I could turn into a pixel icon. I decided on an avocado, since I eat one almost every morning. After sketching it out, I moved my idea to digital using photoshop.
Final pixelated icon created on photoshop. Yum!
I am designing a game in which the player's goal is to get through the 'forest' to the final destination, without getting caught up in other fairytales. This is the first draft of how my digital story will proceed.
This is the final layout of how the digital story will proceed. It is a branching path, which contains various endings and plots, one of which includes the player turning into the villain!
